Tividale Community Primary School.
Last week we were lucky enough to host an amazing group of 45 students from Tividale Community Primary School, Sandwell.
Art, Drama, Music and Dance were the art forms used to explore the schools theme of Mythology. Tutors and visiting school staff were “absolutely blown away by the talent and creativity” that the students expressed.
In Art the group designed chairs inspired by the stories of Medusa and Pegasus (shown below) and students also used a variety of techniques including brusho and watercolour to recreate their own versions of Pandora’s Box. The Drama students focused on the theme of ‘individuality’ expressing that people’s differences make them who they are, whilst in music two unique compositions were composed and performed, which were a creative mixture of rap, rock and pop.
The children produced work of the very highest standard and were diligent, focused, respectful and enthusiastic in all the week’s activities “a credit to the school and their community” comments Felix Pepler, Head of Centre, “we were thrilled to have Tividale stay with us again and cannot wait for their next visit”.
