An International Visit

This was a special week. St Johns International School came to visit Ingestre Hall all the way from Belgium. Being an international school there was huge variety and cultural richness within this group. This was a rare opportunity for children from different parts of the world to come together and participate in all things creative here at Ingestre Hall.
Being a slightly smaller group than usual St Johns participated in Drama, Art and Dance respectively, rotating workshops half way through the week. We had the story of Jack Frost in Drama with some of the students taking their roles as smelly goblins very literally. In Art we had clay sculpting and even a facemask being made of one of the visiting members of staff. In Dance we had two gymnastic and very explosive performances that left the audience gob smacked in what they had seen!
The talent within this group was outstanding although, not here for the whole week there was a brilliant quality and quantity to the work that was produced. We also had some avid arcade game fans that spent their free time playing Pac-man, desperately trying to beat our in house high score.
Being ALMOST Christmas, our wonderful young cooks made a delicious Christmas dinner for the group. It was time to put on those Christmas hats and have a sing along to some classic Christmas tunes.
