Art workshops at Ingestre are based around the pupils shaping the project to suit the chosen theme, creatively exploring specific themes and issues through drawing, printing, wire, collage, work on canvas and textiles. The emphasis is on learning new skills and techniques that may not be as easily as assessable in school or necessarily available.
Pupils work individually and in small groups on the chosen theme to develop artistic skills and explore techniques in more depth. They develop problem-solving skills, communication and build self–esteem, social and team skills.
At the end of each week we have a final Art Exhibition in the Gallery at Ingestre Hall, with the pupils taking full responsibility in creating the display of their artwork.
