Further information about residential courses
- We can deliver a negotiated arts course which meets the needs of your school or group. In addition to the four courses outlined, we are also happy to tailor a course to meet your group's specific needs, for instance a group of gifted and talented pupils or a course focusing on a specific production.
- A preparatory visit to the centre can be arranged to discuss your needs and plan the curriculum for your week.
- A residential course is usually of five days duration, running from Monday 10.30 am until Friday 10.30 am. During this time your group can receive up to 20 hours of specialist workshops Art, Music, Drama and Dance and Photo-Visual Art.
- A weekend course runs from Friday evening until Sunday afternoon during which time you can receive up to 9 hours of workshops, or organise your own tuition.
- A duty manager is onsite each night for security purposes.
- One free staff place is available for every 10 students, but please refer to your local authority offsite guidelines for further information on recommended staff to pupil supervision ratios. You must bring an adequate
number of staff to enable you to support the pastoral needs of your group, providing effective supervision during recreational times and overnight. - The maximum number of group members that can be catered for is 60.
- Dormitory accommodation is provided on two floors, with 30 beds on each floor plus separate staff accommodation. All bed linen is provided.
- Three meals are provided each day, served in a separate dining room. Other refreshments are available during the day in the coffee bar.
- Recreation facilities include table tennis, outdoor games equipment and television / video lounge. For evening use, our cellar includes pool tables, table football and arcade machines. A payphone is also available.
- We provide a well stocked tuck shop and souvenirs are available for sale if required.

Top of pageWeekend booking / running your own course
Many groups book weekends or holiday weeks at Ingestre Hall every year, using our building to host rehearsals, arts activities or study support courses. Bookings are made on a full board basis and a duty manager from the Ingestre staff is resident throughout the visit. We also offer groups our own unique arts tuition during weekends or holiday periods. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.

We recognise there is a need for relevant, practical training in arts subjects and have developed a range of INSET courses for teachers or anyone working with children and young people in an artistic or creative environment. Single day courses can take place at Ingestre Hall by arrangement and will focus on specific practical skills, enabling you to develop more creative ideas for arts based activities back in your classroom or with your group. Courses can be arranged to develop your skills in Music, Music Technology, Drama, Dance, Art and Photo-Visual Art can be tailored to the needs of arts specialists or those with less experience.
